I wrote a sort of love letter to Wellington for the latest issue of Monster Children. I wrote it in the final weeks of our NZ tenure, a time in which, ironically, I finally felt really comfortable there. The magazine is available here.

An interview with some incredible Japanese kids I met in China. ‘It’s evolved beyond anything we ever imagined. They’re not just good; it’s mastery. They’ve mastered skating.’
One day an email popped up with the subject line “Wanna go skating in China?” and I got that feeling. That freelance feeling. “Hi Ingrid,” I typed in reply, “I’d love to go skating in China!” A couple of months and about 50 emails later…
